The Terrace on Apollo Temple

This two-level apartment can accommodate up to 5 people. Located in a characteristic old restored building in the heart of Ortigia, from the second floor terrace you can enjoy the Temple of Apollo view.
The property is located inside the Ortigia Restricted Traffic Area, an ideal position to visit the city on foot, immersing yourself in the characteristic Ronchi and alleys atmosphere of Ortigia.

The inside is organized as follows:

FIRST FLOOR:
- BEDROOM 1: double bed, split A/C, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables with drawers, chair.
- BEDROOM 2: two single beds (can be set up as a double bed), split A/C, wardrobe, open wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables with drawers, chair.
- BATHROOM 1: interior bedroom 2 with shower, shower and toilet.
- BATHROOM 2: shower, bidet, wc.

SECOND FLOOR:
- KITCHEN: 4-burner stove, refrigerator, oven, microwave, electric kettle, moka, dining table, split A/C.
-Access to the terrace overlooking the Temple of Apollo.
- TERRACE: equipped with outdoor dining table and chairs, parasol.

FURTHER SERVICES: air conditioning, independent heating, unlimited wifi, TV, iron and ironing board, drying rack, hairdryer.
Towels and bed linen included (with optional changes for a fee).

The apartment is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.

We are happy to organize early check-in when there are no other guests leaving the apartment on that same day; however, it will not be possible to arrange late check-out. If you need assistance for luggage storage, we can recommend you an affiliated structure.

The apartment is located a few steps away from the Temple of Apollo, one of the most important monuments in Ortigia, the first one to have been erected in Syracuse. Datable to the beginning of the 6th century BC it is therefore the oldest Doric temple in Sicily, and it is possible to admire its remains directly from the apartment terrace located on the second floor.
In two minutes on foot you can easily reach the daily market (every day except Sunday), a typical market full of local products and street food, where you can shop and eat local delicacies. The stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables and seasonal vegetables are the masters in terms of colors. The stalls of fish and crustaceans represent a typically Sicilian uniqueness and it is possible to find many of the Mediterranean fish varieties. Don't miss the Sicilian cheese and cured meats shops, true delicacies of the Sicilian tradition.
The apartment is close to the mini bus stop, this will allow you to move easily around the city and reach the Archaeological Park of Neapolis with its Greek Theater, the San Giovanni catacombs, the Paolo Orsi museum, the Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime, the natural reserve of the Ciane river on whose banks grows the papyrus, the protected marine natural area of ​​Plemmirio (paradise for hikers and walkers), the bus and train station.

In the area you will find many other services such as bank, post office, mini markets, restaurants, bars, shops and much more.

- From Catania airport it is possible to reach Catania Train Station, where it is possible to take the Regional / Intercity train to Syracuse. It is possible to reach Ortigia by public transportation (electric bus).

PLEASE NOTE: Ortigia is located in the Traffic-Restricted Area -ZTL in Italian- (closing days and times depending on the season).

The closest parking is 500 meters away from the apartment and is called "Talete". It is open 24 hours a day and offers affordable prices:

The main towns in Sicily can be reached by Interbus buses from the central station (via Rubino), from where shuttles leave for Catania-Fontanarossa airport (approximately 1 hour journey).

To ensure the security of your personal data, 7 days before your arrival you will receive instructions to register your documents via our Guest Portal and to pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night of stay, up to a maximum of 7 nights).

Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 6/10/2022 n.383).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.
Syracuse Climatic Zone B: 7 hours a day from December 8th to March 23rd.

Check-in will take place in online self check-in mode, completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment.
Keys can be collected free of charge via on-site keybox.
In case of problems, telephone assistance will be guaranteed until 10pm.

If you wish to receive the keys from a member of our staff in the apartment, it is possible, upon request with payment of a supplement equal to:
- From 15:00 to 21:00: €15.00;
- From 21:00 to 23:00: €25.00.
