Bright 40sqm apartment with terrace that can accommodate up to 4 people. Located on the second floor, without lift, of a typical old Syracusan building, the apartment is located in the heart of Ortigia, a few steps away from San Pietro Apostolo Church and a few minutes on foot from the Temple of Apollo and the Ancient Market.
The apartment is located within the Restricted Traffic Area; it is possible to park at the "Talete" garage.

The inside is organized as follows:
-BEDROOM: double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
-LIVING AREA: Dining table, split A/C (with heat pump), mezzanine with double single bed.
-KITCHEN: 4-burner stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, moka, dining table and access to the terrace.
-TERRACE: outdoor table and chairs
-BATHROOM: shower, bidet, wc

FURTHER SERVICES: unlimited wifi, washing machine, split A/C with heat pump, iron, drying rack, clothes rack, hair dryer.
Towels and bed linen included (with optional changes for a fee).

PLEASE NOTE: if you are traveling with small children, please pay attention to the internal stairs to access the mezzanine. The apartment is not suitable for children under the age of 2.

The apartment is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.

To ensure the security of your personal data, 7 days before your arrival you will receive instructions to register your documents via our Guest Portal and to pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night of stay, up to a maximum of 7 nights).
We need such procedure to verify your ids and docs and in order to send info to the police service "Alloggiati Web" which is Italian procedure to host guest in italy.

Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 6/10/2022 n.383).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.
Syracuse Climatic Zone B: 7 hours a day from December 8th to March 23rd.

Check-in will take place in online self check-in mode, completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment.
Keys can be collected free of charge via on-site keybox.
In case of problems, telephone assistance will be guaranteed until 10pm.

If you wish to receive the keys from a member of our staff in the apartment, it is possible, upon request with payment of a supplement equal to:
- From 15:00 to 21:00: EUR 15.00;
- From 21:00 to 23:00: EUR 25.00.

The apartment is located on the island of Ortigia, a few steps from the Church of San Pietro Apostolo and a few minutes on foot from the Temple of Apollo and the Old Market, open every day except Sunday, a typical market full of local products and street food, where you can shop and eat local delicacies. The stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables and seasonal vegetables are the masters in terms of colors. The stalls of fish and crustaceans represent a typically Sicilian uniqueness and it is possible to find many of the Mediterranean fish varieties. Don't miss the Sicilian cheese and salami shops, true delicacies of the Sicilian tradition.
A short distance from the apartment, you will find the mini bus stop, which will allow you to move easily around the city and reach the Archaeological Park of Neapolis with its Greek Theater, San Giovanni Catacombs, Paolo Orsi museum, Madonnina delle Lacrime Sanctuary, the natural reserve of the Ciane river on whose banks grows the papyrus, the protected marine natural area of ​​Plemmirio (paradise for hikers and walkers), and the bus and train station.
The apartment is within the City Center Restricted Traffic Area (ZTL in Italian).

- Fonte Aretusa: 11 minutes on foot;
- Cala Rossa beach: 11 minutes on foot;

Near the apartment, it is possible to find "Mastrarua" electric minibus stop (one run every 30 minutes, from 8:00 to 20:00, one-way price of 1 euro) which allows you to reach some of the main points of interest in the city:
- The Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime;
- The Paolo Orsi museum;
- The Archaeological Park of Neapolis
- The Fonte Aretusa;
- The Castle of Maniace;
- The bus and train station.

The main towns of Sicily can be reached by Interbus coaches from the central station (via Rubino), from where the shuttles to Catania-Fontanarossa airport also depart (approximately 1 hour journey).

- FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: it is possible to the apartment by taking the ALIBUS bus service that connects Catania airport to Catania Central Station, where you can take the regional train to Syracuse station, less than 20 minutes on foot from the property.
Alternatively, from the airport it is possible to reach the apartment by taking Interbus bus, up to Syracuse Station.

- FROM SYRACUSE STATION: it is possible to reach the apartment on foot in less than 20 minutes or by taking the minibus.

- IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY CAR: The nearest parking lot is 500m away from the apartment and it’s called “Talete”. It’s open 24/7 at convenient fares.
