Apartment a few steps from the Greek Theater

Cozy 90 sqm apartment, which can accommodate up to 4 people, located on the 2nd floor with lift of a period building in one of the most important and renowned shopping streets of Syracuse, about 15 minutes on foot from the historic center (Ortigia). Two balconies overlook the main street with a view of the archaeological area and a view over of Iblei Mountains. The building is located near the entrance to the city, in the direction of the CT-SR motorway junction, less than 5 km away.

The inside is organized as follows:
- KITCHEN with dining table, oven, four gas burners, fridge - freezer, moka, kettle and access to the balcony;
- LIVING ROOM with large table (suitable for smart working), 6 chairs, two sideboards and two side tables, air conditioning and access to the balcony overlooking the archaeological park;
- BEDROOM I with double bed, two bedside tables, large wardrobe, chest of drawers and air conditioner;
- BEDROOM II with two single beds, two bedside tables, large wardrobe and fan;
- BATHROOM with shower, bidet, sink and toilet;
- TWO BALCONIES.

FURTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE: free wifi, air conditioning with heat pumps, washing machine, hairdryer.
Towels and sheets are provided for our guests.

You will have full access to the whole apartment. Free high speed wifi connection is available for our guests. The apartment is equipped with 2 heat pumps for hot and cold positioned in different rooms. There is a staircase with 4 steps to reach the elevator.

All identity documents of residents must be shown on arrival as required by Italian law.

From 15:00 to 19:00, check-in will take place in presence.

After 19:00, self check-in will take place (free of charge). Further instructions will be provided a few days before your arrival.

Alternatively, after 19:00 check-in in presence will also be available upon request and with a supplement to be paid in cash on arrival, as follows:
EUR 25 from 19:00 to 23:00;
EUR 30 from 23:00 and 00:00;
EUR 40 from 00:00 to 01:30.
All requests for late arrivals are subject to confirmation by the property. The last possible check-in, even by paying the supplement, is 01:30.

We are happy to organize early check-in when there are no other guests leaving the apartment on that same day; however, it will not be possible to arrange late check-out. If you need assistance for luggage storage, we can recommend you an affiliated structure.

The apartment is located in the heart of the archaeological area of ​​Syracuse, with the wonderful Archaeological Park of Neapolis, which preserves treasures such as the Greek Theater, still intact, the Amphitheater, the Ear of Dionysus, the Temple of Gerone and the presumed Tomb of Archimedes, among the most important archaeological testimonies in Europe, and protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. A few steps from the apartment you can also admire one of the oldest places in Syracuse: the Catacombs of San Giovanni, an ancient Greek aqueduct that the Romans later turned into catacombs.
The Umberto I Hospital is only 500ms away from the property.
The wonderful island of Ortigia, with its seafront, is not far from the property. Walking through its streets, it is possible to admire centuries of history, stunning buildings, characteristic restaurants and cafes, as well as monuments such as Manice Castle, Fonte Aretusa, the ancient temple of Apollo and, absolutely not to be missed, Piazza del Duomo, one of the most spectacular in Sicily. In the summer season, you can swim off the rocks or near some small beaches and solariums on the waterfront.

Near the apartment, it is possible to find "Corso Gelone" electric minibus stop (one run every 30 minutes, from 8:00 to 20:00, one-way price of 1 euro) which allows you to reach some of the main points of interest in the city:
- The Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime;
- The Paolo Orsi museum;
- The Archaeological Park of Neapolis
- The Fonte Aretusa;
- The Castle of Maniace;
- The bus and train station.

The main towns of Sicily can be reached by Interbus coaches from the central station (via Rubino), from where the shuttles to Catania-Fontanarossa airport also depart (approximately 1 hour journey).

- FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: it is possible to the apartment by taking the ALIBUS bus service that connects Catania airport to Catania Central Station, where you can take the regional train to Syracuse station, 15 minutes on foot from the property.
Alternatively, from the airport it is possible to reach the apartment by taking Interbus bus, up to Syracuse Station.

- FROM SYRACUSE STATION: it is possible to reach the apartment on foot in 15 minutes or by taking the minibus.

- IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY CAR: free street parking available nearby. It is fortibben to park in the main avanue only on Tuesdays from 10pm to 6am.
