Recco is a splendid seaside small town in the Levante Ligurian Riviera overlooking on small bay on the Golfo Paradiso, close to other seaside towns such as Camogli, Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo and others. Famous for its cheese focaccia, it is interesting from a historical, naturalistic and culinary point of view.
It is must to see the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora del Suffragio in the homonymous square in the center of Recco, which houses stuccos, sculptures and works of art, as well as the Church of San Michele and the Santissimo Crocifisso and the Parish Church of Our Lady of Grace who, according to a legend, guards one of the thorns of the Crown of Jesus.
Liguria is a rich region from a naturalistic point of view, in fact excursions in the hinterland are among the things to do. The Recco-Madonna di Caravaggio-Camogli path has now become one of the most famous in Italy and starts from Recco and arrives at the beautiful village of Camogli.
The coast of Recco is not very large, but the pebble beaches plunge into a crystalline sea with a soft seabed suitable for children.
