The accommodation, for 3 people, is located on the ground floor (2 steps to access it) of a building in the heart of Ortigia (Traffic-Restricted Area), in a pedestrian and quiet alley, a few steps from bars and restaurants, ideal for those who wans to experience the beauty of the Syracusan historic center.

The inside is organized as follows:
- LIVING AREA: single sofa bed, split A/C, dining table with chairs and wardrobe;
- KITCHENETTE: induction hob (2 burners), mini fridge, integrated microwave oven and kettle;
- LOFT: double bed, coat rack, bedside tables and abatjour;
- BATHROOM: shower, sink with mirror, toilet and wall hanger.
FURTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE TO GUESTS: wifi, air conditioning and hairdryer.
Towels and bed linen included (with optional changes for a fee).
PLEASE NOTE: to reach the mezzanine with the double bed there are stairs WITHOUT handrails and side protections. Please pay attention if you are travelling with children.
The apartment is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.
We are happy to organize early check-in when there are no other guests leaving the apartment on that same day; however, it will not be possible to arrange late check-out. If you need assistance for luggage storage, we can recommend you an affiliated structure.
All guests' IDs must be shown upon check-in, as required by Italian law.
From 15:00 to 19:00, check-in will take place in presence.
After 19:00, self check-in will take place (free of charge). Further instructions will be provided a few days before your arrival.
Alternatively, after 19:00 check-in in presence will also be available upon request and with a supplement to be paid in cash on arrival, as follows:
EUR 25 from 19:00 to 23:00;
EUR 30 from 23:00 and 00:00;
EUR 40 from 00:00 to 01:30.
All requests for late arrivals are subject to confirmation by the property. The last possible check-in, even by paying the supplement, is 01:30.
It is possible to swim in the solariums around the island of Ortigia: our staff will show you the closest areas to the apartment. The apartment is located a few meters from Corso Matteotti, one of the main streets on the island of Ortigia, the heart of Ortigia's shopping.
The neighborhood in which the building is located is the ancient Bottai neighborhood, also known as "Bottari", where all the artisan shops from which it takes its name once stood. In fact, since the Middle Ages, it has been the district of artisans and traders economically linked to the activities of the area, at least until the 1950s, as well as the toponymy shows: via dei Bottari, now via Cavour, formerly the seat of the trade of wines and barrels; via dei Candelai; via dei Cordari, etc ... It
The Greek and medieval layout is still visible in the neighborhood.
In the area you will find many services such as bank, post office, mini market, restaurants, bars, shops and much more.
Main points of interest:
- Piazza Duomo: 5 minutes on foot;
- Cala Rossa beach: 7 minutes on foot;
- Fonte Aretusa: 8 minutes on foot;
- Temple of Apollo: 8 minutes on foot;
- Castle of Maniace: 11 minutes on foot.
- Gusto Ortigia Market (minimarket): 3 minutes on foot;
- DADA Bar Delle Maestranze Food and drink (bar/restaurant): 3 minutes on foot;
- Retroscena restaurant: 5 minutes on foot.
Ortigia can be easily visited on foot. Each district has its own characteristics and peculiarities and there are many pedestrian areas excluded from traffic; in the area it is however possible to rent bicycles.
The main towns of Sicily can be reached by Interbus coaches from the central station (via Rubino), from where the shuttles to Catania-Fontanarossa airport also depart (approximately 1 hour journey).
- FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: it is possible to reach the apartment by taking the ALIBUS bus service that connects Catania airport to Catania Central Station, where it is possible to take the regional train to Syracuse station, about 25 minutes on foot from the property. Alternatively, it is possible to reach the apartment from the airport by taking Interbus bus, up to Syracuse Station. A Trenitalia service has also recently been added, which directly connects the airport to Syracuse station.
- FROM SYRACUSE STATION: it is possible to reach the apartment on foot in less than 20 minutes or by taking the minibus.
- IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY CAR: The nearest car park is 650m away from the apartment and is called “Talete”. It’s open 24/7, with convenient fares:

30 euros per week
40 euros per month.
Alternatively, it is possible to park for free a few steps from the property (NOT guaranteed and NOT bookable).
