Ortigia Promenade

Comfortable and bright 35sqm apartment, first floor without lift, able to accommodate up to 4 people. Located inside a period building dating back to 1800, the apartment has a balcony and is located a stone's throw from the Levante promenade.
The apartment is ideally located to visit the city on foot, immersing yourself in the Ronchi and Ortigia's alleys characteristic atmosphere.

The inside is organized as follows:
-BEDROOM: double bed, split A/C, wardrobe and clothes stand.
-LIVING AREA: sofa bed, split A/C, TV, dining table, access to the balcony.
-COOKING CORNER: 2-burner induction hob, fridge, microwave, moka pot, coffee machine, kettle.

OTHER SERVICES: unlimited wifi, air conditioning, heating with heat pump, washing machine, hairdryer, iron and ironing board
Towels and bed linen included (with optional changes for a fee).

PLEASE NOTE: there may be some noise due to work in progress on the roof of the builidng.

The apartment is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.

The apartment is located close to Ortigia seaftont, the oldest and most fascinating part of Siracusa. On the island, connected to the mainland by Ponte Umbertino, walking through the streets you can see and feel centuries of history, stunning buildings, characteristic restaurants and cafes. You can't miss the chance to visit the Manice Castle, the "Fonte Aretusa", the ancient temple of Apollo and, absolutely not to be missed, the "Piazza del Duomo", one of the most spectacular and fascinating in Sicily.
The island of Ortigia is framed by charming houses and walls overlooking the sea. In the summer season, you can swim off the rocks or on some small beaches and solariums on the waterfront. Throughout the year it is possible to admire breathtaking views and sunsets.
If you want to get away from the tourists crowd, we suggest you to visit the hidden corners of the old Jewish ghetto, the Giudecca, which still preserves the typical Greek architects "comb" city structure.

The apartment is located few meters away from the sea, from a video-monitored parking lot and from the mini bus stop. By mini bus it's possible to easily move around the city and reach:
-The Archaeological Park
-The San Giovanni catacombs
-The Paolo Orsi museum
-The Madonna delle lacrime sanctuary
-The bus and train station
In the neighborhood you can find everything you need for your stay: bank, post office, mini market, restaurants, bars, shops and much more.

The train and bus station can be reached by bus or in 10 minutes on foot.

The "Interbus" bus connects Catania airport to the Central station (about 1 hour journey), and from here you can then take the minubus to Ortigia.

It is possible to reach the apartment by minibus to Ortigia.

PLEASE NOTE: Ortigia is located in the Traffic-Restricted Area -ZTL in Italian- (closing days and times depending on the season).

The closest parking lot is 170m away from the apartment and it’s called “Talete”. It’s open 24/7 at convenient fares.

A member of our Team Siracusa will contact you a few days before your arrival to organize your check-in. They will meet you at the apartment to hand you the keys and they will be at your disposal for any information and further assistance before and during your stay. We are available by phone, e-mail or Airbnb direct messaging service.

To ensure the security of your personal data, 7 days before your arrival you will receive instructions to register your documents via our Guest Portal and to pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night of stay, up to a maximum of 7 nights).
We need such procedure to verify your ids and docs and in order to send info to the police service "Alloggiati Web" which is Italian procedure to host guest in italy.

Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 6/10/2022 n.383).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings.
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.
Syracuse Climatic Zone B: 7 hours a day from December 8th to March 23rd.

Check-in will take place in online self check-in mode, completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment.
Keys can be collected free of charge via on-site keybox.
In case of problems, telephone assistance will be guaranteed until 10pm.

If you wish to receive the keys from a member of our staff in the apartment, it is possible, upon request with payment of a supplement equal to:
- From 15:00 to 21:00: €15.00;
- From 21:00 to 23:00: €25.00.
