Castello Ursino Balcony Apartment

Comfortable 90sqm apartment able to accommodate up to 5 people. Located on the first floor, without lift, of a typical ancient Catania building, the apartment is spread over 2 levels and has a double facing with a small balcony. The building is located in the city central area, about 5 minutes walk from Piazza Duomo.
It is possible to park on the street for a fee (blue stripes) or, alternatively, at the Garage Borsellino, about 5 minutes away on foot.

The inside is organized as follows, on two levels:

First level:
-LIVING AREA: A/C spilt, access to the mezzanine with double bed.
- KITCHEN: 5 burner hob, fridge, oven, microwave, dining table.
-BATHROOM: shower, bidet, WC.

Second level:
-BEDROOM: double bed, single bed, split A/C
-BATHROOM: shower, toilet.

OTHER SERVICES: unlimited wifi, air conditioning, independent heating and heat pump, fan, electronic safe, iron and ironing board, clothesline, clothes stand, hair dryer.

PLEASE NOTE: if you're travelling with small children, please pay attention to the internal stairs !!!

The apartment is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants.
We are very flexible and are happy to organize early check-ins/late check-outs when there are no other guests entering or leaving the apartment on that same day. All requests will be confirmed a couple of days before your arrival.

The apartment is located in the city central area, a couple of minutes walk away from the Ursino Castle, built by the architect Riccardo da Lenitni upon Federico II commission in the mid-13th century. Today it is the Civic Museum of Catania house, in the past the castle was the temporary residence of the Viceroys and, part of the structure, was used as a prison.
In 5 minutes on foot you can easily reach Piazza Duomo and, from here, you can visit the main points of interest in the city comfortably on foot or via public transportation.
We advise you to go shopping in the most chic streets of Catania or simply explore the city and its architectural and cultural beauties such as the Villa Bellini, via Etnea, the Greek Roman Theater, participate in the Catanese nightlife by attending the pubs in Piazza Teatro Massimo and in the area of Via Crociferi.
The apartment is ideally located for those who want not only to visit the city, but also to move around to visit the places of interest around the city, since it is located pretty close to Catania Train Station where you can find buses leaving to all the commonly visited places, such as Taormina, Syracuse, Noto, Piazza Armerina, Ragusa, Palermo. The station is easily reachable by public transportation, just a couple of stops, from Piazza Borsellino (5 minutes walk from the apartment).

-From Catania Fontanarossa Airport it is possible to easily reach the apartment by ALIBUS shuttle service "ALIBUS terminus" stop, 5 minutes walk away from the apartment.

-From Catania Central Station it is possible to reach the apartment by lines L-EX / 925/927 to Piazza Borsellino stop, 5 minutes walk away from the apartment.

If you're travelling by car you can find parking slots in the sorrounding streets for a fee (blue lines) or, alternatively, at the Garage Borsellino, which is about 5 minutes away on foot.

A member of our Team Catania will contact you a few days before your arrival to organize your check-in. They will meet you at the apartment to hand you the keys and they will be at your disposal for any information and further assistance before and during your stay. All guests' IDs must be shown upon check-in, as required by Italian law.

For all late check-ins from 21:00 to 00:00, we require an extra charge to be paid cash upon check-in as per the following:
From 21.00 to 23.00: EUR 25
From 23.00 to 00.00: EUR 30
Late check-ins are not available after midnight.
